Roombase is a project that was initiated in 2009 during my study.
Tom van Beveren, a friend of mine, was very dissapointed about the existing websites that brought students and landlords together. He started designing a new website as a school assignment. Later on I joined him and together we developed Roombase.

About me

My name is Pieter Bogaerts and I’m an ex communication and multimedia design student. I graduated June 2009 at the University of Applied Sciences of Rotterdam.

During this study I specialized in concept and product development. Which means I like to invent new concepts and I know how to put them on the market.

I love making great designs and make things work on the front-end. Besides my preference for design, typography and web standards I’m stoked about snowboarding and music. I also play field hockey twice a week.

During my study I became experienced with HTML, CSS, Javascript and some PHP. I’m still eager to learn more techniques such as media queries and I’m trying to implement CSS3 already with a little help of CSS3 PIE for IE7.
